Biography
I went to the Naval Academy, got learned in the art of not doing what I was told then became a Naval Officer. Started out not doing anything cool and loafing through life and planning on doing it for five years, get a good corporate job then retire. Super neat life for many but somewhere in there something happened. I hit the fleet and leadership hit me, I loved it. I loved the mission and I wanted more. After a bunch of training and a deployment, I started to figure things out in life. I wanted to defend this country and by God, it probably wasn't going to be the cookie cutter way.
MG USA (ret) David Morris was kind enough to guide my young career and help introduce me to some fun places and cool people. I got to shake hands and drink beer with heroes, learn about my life and start seeing how I fit in the world. Ever build an aircraft in flight? It’s how I was living my life. Not a lot of planning just seeing where the road takes me.
Fast forward- I was caught up in, "how do I make money? how I do normal civilian things? What do you mean I have to pay a mortgage on time?" Made mistakes with partners in life, learned some lessons on being real with myself, and also how to write a lengthy profile piece that can tell you who I am without a single detail or place.
So here we are. I want to see the world thrive and the brothers, sisters and unicorns I run into along the way become a part of my tribe. My tribe is not a rank, a uniform, a party, a company, or an indusutry. My tribe is the tenets of my life: Mission First, People Always. Be loyal to each other, find the common ground, dominate the enemy and pick people up when they get knocked down. Oh and have a sense of humor. Life is tough as crap, laughing helps every situation.
